WHO WE ARE

Sweetgum Creative, LLC is your trusted partner in graphic design and photography. What started as a passion for its founders, Keegan and Laura Coleman, materialized as the graphic design arm of Sweetgum Creative during an afternoon stroll around Norfolk in 2014. The company quickly took off as the couple moved back to Atlanta, and Keegan soon decided to add his lifelong hobby of photography to the burgeoning business. Sweetgum Creative has served clients of all sizes, yet strives to maintain an intimate and personalized relationship to match with its outstanding service.

Keegan ColemanOwner, CCO, and 1°  Photographer

Keegan is responsible for the creative in Sweetgum Creative. As Owner and Chief Creative Officer, he is the guy to thank (or blame) for the imagery that makes your company, promotional material, or event pop. For those of you who want to know a little about what makes your designer/photographer tick, here are a few fun facts about Keegan:

  • Keegan graduated from the University of Georgia (where he met his wonderful wife and Sweetgum co-conspirator, Laura) in 2010 with degrees in two of these majors (5 Sweetgum Points for a correct guess): Archaeology, Biology, Genetics, History, Marketing, Religion.

  • Keegan attended Eastern Virginia Medical School before deciding to start Sweetgum Creative. (However, Keegan is not a licensed physician and recommends that, if you have any medical concerns, you consult your doctor and not your graphic designer/photographer.)

  • Go Braves.

  • Keegan is a big fan of scotch (always in moderation and when he's not working) and guarantees that giving him a bottle of Lagavulin will insure a 28.7% increase in excellence for your project.

Laura serves as a consultant for Sweetgum and brings with her over five years of experience in advertising and marketing. A natural perfectionist, she reviews and critiques all creative that leaves Sweetgum's doors. She currently works in digital marketing for a large corporation. Here are a few additional facts about Laura:

  • She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Honors Program at University of Georgia with dual degrees in Marketing & Advertising.

  • She is easily bribed with chocolate.

  • She jokingly proposed the idea of starting a creative services company.
